FAQ – WASTE SITES

Any waste site that is on the public register with the Environment Agency, Natural Resources Wales or Scottish Environment Protection Agency.

Yes,

– if you are a registered company on companies house your company has to be active.

– Your permit needs to match the registered company name

– The permit/ exemption must be valid

– Your permit must contain waste codes

– Your site must be registered in the United Kingdom (Same conditions to registering a waste site with the Environment Agency/ Natural Resources Wales/ Scottish Environment Protection Agency)

 

What Waste Code Ltd has the right to refuse any permit/ exemption.

Can I sign up if I have an exemption?2024-08-13T15:24:11+01:00

Yes, you can.

 

You can sign up with multiple exemptions on one site, they must all be registered at the same address, and you must describe the waste process that takes place on site.

 

The exemptions must be in date. If they expire during your subscription and you have not informed What Waste Code Ltd regarding the updated exemption, your subscription will be cancelled. No refund.

What is the purpose of signing up as a waste site?2024-05-07T14:57:42+01:00

As a registered waste site, What Waste Code Ltd records all the waste codes that your permit/ exemption accepts. Then when a customer searches for a site that can accept a particular waste code, if your site can accept it, you will be found and the customer can make contact with you.

By using What Waste Code Ltd, the customer can complete a waste description form and can then send this to you and to other waste sites that accept the same code at once. Once you have received the form, you can make the decision whether to contact the customer and engage in business.

Can I sign up if I have multiple permits?2024-08-13T15:26:42+01:00

Multiple permits/ exemptions for one site – Yes

Please supply a copy of all permits and exemptions with your application and all relevant EWC codes will be listed against your profile for search by our engine. All exemptions and permits must be on the same site.

 

Multiple permits across the UK – Yes

However this is a price on application basis. What Waste Code Ltd can offer incentives to the parent company of a multi-site operator at it discretion. Please contact our office to discuss the specific nature of your operation. For those who already have a site, or multiple sites, and wish to add another, the same process applies. Can I cancel my subscription?2024-08-13T15:27:39+01:00

Yes, Please email [email protected] and state your reason for cancelling your subscription and we can address any issues you may be experiencing and effect the cancellation on your behalf. If after 14 days no refunds are provided. Once the subscription has been cancelled the waste site/ details will be removed.

Sorry to hear this, at this time we do not have a waste site signed up who accepts that waste code. If you let us know at [email protected] what the code is, we can actively search for a site that accepts your code.

Can I send more than one waste site an enquiry?2024-05-07T15:04:18+01:00

Yes, if more than one waste site appears, it means that they all accept the particular waste code you searched. Click send quote, complete the waste description form and identify which sites you would like to send your enquiry to, then push send.

Alternatively, you can look up each site, gain their contact details and contact them separately.
